My name is Michael Todd.

I am a new teacher at b-cafe and this is my first
blog.

So, I think a quick introduction is a good idea!

僕の名前はマイケル・トッド。b の新しいレッスンパートナーだよ。

そしてこれが初めてのブログ。

だからちょっとした自己紹介をしたいと思う！

 

I am from London, England and have lived in Tokyo for about 6.5 years.

I
have taught English in Tokyo
for over 6 years in all kinds of environments.

僕はロンドンのイングランド出身で、約6年半東京に住んでいるんだ。

6年以上、様々なところで英語を教えてきたよ。

 

I started life in Japan, 2005 in Akishima-shi (West Tokyo), then moved to
Kinshicho, then Shin Koiwa
and I currently live in Oji, Kita-ku.

2005年に日本での生活を昭島市（西東京）で始めて、その後錦糸町、新小岩に引越し、今は北区の王子に住んでいるんだ。

 

I have not been to very many other places in Japan, considering I have
lived her for quite a while.

However, Fukuoka, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya and Akita are some places that
I have enjoyed so far.

I definitely need to see more places!

I have been to a lot of other countries too, especially in Europe and East
Asia.

日本にこれだけ長くいるわりに、その他の地域にはあまり行ったことがないんだ。

でも、福岡、神戸、大阪、京都、名古屋、秋田には行ったことがあるよ。

まだまだ他のところにも行かないといけないね！日本以外の国、特にヨーロッパや西アジアの国々には行ったことがあるよ。

 

I am into cycling, football (not American football), cooking and comedy.

I try not to mix the latter 2 but it happens sometimes!

Another hobby of mine is taking photos of interesting uses of English in Japan in
branding and commercials.

I am going to start a Masters program this year in the summer, which should
be interesting!

僕は、サイクリングとサッカー（アメリカンフットボールじゃなくて）、料理とコメディーが好きなんだ。

最後の二つを一緒に並べたくなかったんだけど、（変な料理が出てくると思われちゃうからね）でも、失敗して仕方なくそうなってしまうこともあるんだ！

他にも、おかしな英語を使っている日本の広告などを写真に取ることも好きだよ。

今年の夏には、修士課程を取るために大学院も行き始めるんだ。きっとおもしろくなるはず！！
