Hello, everyone!
ハイ、みなさん。

My name is Desiree, and I just started working at "b" this week!
I have been living in Tokyo for about 5 years,
but I am　originally from southern California.
In fact, my parents still live in the same house in the L.A.
suburb that I grew up in.
They used to talk about retiring and moving to an avocado farm,
but as much as we all love guacamole, any other house just wouldn't be "home."

東京に来て5年程たちましたが出身は南カリフォルニアなんです。
今でも両親は私が育ったロサンゼルスに住んでいますよ。
二人ともリタイアして、アボカド農場に引っ越ししようかとも考えていたけど
いくらガカモーレが大好きとはいっても、生まれ育った家はやっぱり離れられないわ。

Now, of course, I live in Tokyo, and life here is fun. I like checking out
restaurants and bars that I haven't been to before, but in truth, I usually
go to the same old places. I guess I also enjoy being a regular.
I love walking into a place and receiving a warm greeting from a familiar face.
This warmth is part of what makes Tokyo home too.
今は東京にいるけど、ここの生活はとっても楽しいわ！
今までに行ったことのないレストランやバーに行くのが好きです！
でも実際はいつもと同じお店に行ってしまって。。。
たぶん常連さんになるのが好きなのね。
お出かけも楽しいし、知り合いから温かく出迎えてもらうのも嬉しいわ！
その温もりがあるおかげで、東京がホームタウンって感じてしまうのね。
