Hello B Members!
こんにちは、ｂの皆さん！
I’m sorry that I have neglected my blog for so long!
I’ve had an eventful month and a half.
In January, I visited the U.S. for two weeks.
While I was home, I visited my family in Wilmington, Delaware, which is about 20
minutes from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I also visited my husband’s side
of the family in Virginia. However, the highlight of my trip was the time
I spent in Maryland and Washington, D.C. for President Barack Obama’s
inauguration. The inauguration was on January 20th.
長い間ブログを書かなくてごめんなさい！
私は多忙な一ヶ月半を過ごしていました。
1月に2週間の間アメリカに帰国したの。
帰国している間、ペンシルベニア州のフィラデルフィアからおよそ20分の
デラウェア州のウィルミントンを訪れたわ。
また、バージニア州に住んでいる夫の家族の所にも行ったの。
でも、今回の旅の目玉はバラク・オバマ大統領の就任式のためにメリーランドとワシントンD.C.で
過ごした時間ね。就任式は1月20日だったの。
Inauguration Day was very cold, but I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
It was wonderful to be a part of African-American and American
history...even if it was just for a few cold hours.
大統領就任式日はとっても寒かったの。
でも絶対に見逃せなかったわ！
例えそれが凍えるような2,3時間だったとしても
アフリカ系アメリカ人とアメリカの素晴らしい歴史の一部分になったわ。
I returned to Japan, my other home, at the end of January.
Since then, I’ve been busy learning more about Japanese culture
(I recently went to my first sumo wrestling tournament!)
and enjoying my English conversations with all of you!
私は1月末に日本に帰国しました。
それ以来、日本文化について勉強することと、
（最近、初の大相撲に行きました！）
皆さんとの英会話を楽しむことで忙しかったわ！
I’m glad that I’ve already seen some of you since I returned to Japan.
I hope to see more of you in the coming weeks.
帰国してから、早速皆さんに会えて嬉しかったです。
これからもっと沢山の方々にお会いしたいわ。
