Hello! My name is Sarah Hahn, and I'm from the USA.
I was born in southern California, then moved to Florida during high school.
I went to college in Florida, and then I moved to Japan almost immediately after graduating.
So far I have been living in Tokyo for a little over one year.
こんにちは！わたしはサラ、アメリカ出身です。
南カリフォルニアでうまれ、ハイスクールの時にフロリダに引っ越してきました。
そこで大学に行き、卒業と同時に日本へ来ました。
東京にきて1年くらいです。
I really enjoy living in Japan! I'm trying my best to learn Japanese, as well as
helping others to learn English. I enjoy Japanese culture, from ancient arts
such as kabuki to the modern entertainment scene. One of my favorite authors is
Haruki Murakami, and one of my goals for the future is to be able to read his novels
in the original Japanese.
日本は本当に楽しいです！みなさんに英語を教えるのと同じくらい日本語を
一生懸命勉強しています。
日本の文化はとても楽しいですね。昔のアートから歌舞伎、モダンなエンターテイメントまで。
私の大好きな作家は村上春樹です。
将来は彼の小説を日本語で読めればって思っています。
My other hobbies include reading, singing karaoke, going out with friends,
and writing short stories. I also have a strong interest in fashion,
and occasionally I sketch clothing designs and even sometimes sew
(I'm not very good yet though!).
ほかにはカラオケ、友達と買い物、短編物語を書いたりしています。
それとファッションにもとても興味があります。
たまに、ファッションデザインを描いてみたり、まだ上手くはないのですが
縫物をしたりしています。
I believe that understanding and communication between different cultures
is very important, and no matter what your goals are,
I hope that I can help you to achieve them!
