Halloween is my favorite holiday.
I was born near the end of October, so every year Halloween was very special for me.
I would have a Halloween birthday party, play games with my friends, and go trick or treating.
ハロウィンは私の好きな祝日です。
私は10月の終わり頃に生まれたので、毎年ハロウィンは私にとって特別な日だったの。
ハロウィン誕生日パーティーを開き、友達とゲームをしたり、トリック・オア・トリートを楽しんだりしていたわ。
One year, though, my older brother decided to take my younger sisters trick or treating, so I got candy bowl duty!
I got to hand out candy to the younger children.
Usually, children will knock on the door to get candy, but my family… we always loved to do it a little differently.

小さな子たちにキャンディーを配ったわ。
普通は子どもたちがキャンディーをもらうためにドアをノックしますが、私の家族はいつも少し違ったやり方を楽しんでいました。
So I climbed up onto the roof of my house, right above the front door.
I put on the famous “Ghost Face” mask and robes, and when the trick or treaters rang the door and no one answered… that was my moment!
私は家の屋根に登り、玄関の真上に座りました。
有名な「ゴーストフェイス」のマスクとローブを着て、トリック・オア・トリートの子どもたちがドアをノックしても誰も出てこない･･･その時が私の出番です！
I would hang over the side of the roof and yell “BOO!” and throw candy at them.
All of the children would scream and laugh, and the parents would, too!
Because of this, it is my favorite halloween memory.
私は屋根の端にぶら下がって「ブー！」と叫び、キャンディーを投げました。
子ども達はみんな悲鳴を上げて笑いころげ、親たちも大騒ぎ！
これが私のとっておきのハロウィンの思い出です。
