Every year starting in October, League of Legends holds its month-long World Championship, better known as Worlds.
Top teams from the five major regions (Korea, China, APAC, Europe, and the Americas) battle for the most prestigious title in professional League of Legends.
Securing a spot at Worlds is the culmination of a year’s worth of hard work and dedication.
To be able to represent your region is an honor, and to win the Championship is a glory only few are able to obtain.
毎年10月になると、リーグ・オブ・レジェンドでは、1か月にわたる世界大会「World Championship」、通称 Worlds（ワールズ） が開催されます。
韓国、中国、APAC、ヨーロッパ、アメリカ──世界5大地域から選ばれたトップチームが、プロLoL（League of Legends）における最も名誉あるタイトルをかけて激闘を繰り広げるの。
ワールズに出場すること自体が、1年間積み上げてきた努力の集大成と言えるわ。
自分の地域を代表して戦えることは、とても大きな名誉。
そして、その頂点である チャンピオンの座は、ほんの一握りのチームだけが手にできる、特別な栄光なのです。

2025 marked the 15th year of the WORLDS Championship, and this year, my team T1 set out to achieve a 3-peat — a feat no team had ever accomplished before.
The closest attempt was SKT T1’s (T1’s first iteration under Korean ownership) run in the 2017 season, after winning back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2016.
That year, they suffered a crushing defeat against Samsung Galaxy, ending SKT T1’s dominance.
Faker, the only remaining player from the original roster, would go on to win his 4th and 5th Worlds titles in 2023 and 2024, cementing a new T1 dynasty.
Then, on November 9, the new T1 roster — with Faker — made history by achieving the first-ever 3-peat in LoL history, finishing what SKT T1 had been unable to do eight years earlier.
2025年は、Worlds（リーグ・オブ・レジェンド世界大会）が15周年を迎えた年。
そして今年、私が応援するチーム T1 は、史上初の3連覇という前人未到の偉業に挑んだの。

その偉業に最も近づいたのは、2015年・2016年と連覇を達成した SKT T1（韓国オーナー体制下の初代T1）が挑んだ2017年シーズンだった。
でもその年、T1は Samsung Galaxy に完敗し、長く続いたSKT T1の黄金期は幕を閉じたの。

その後、当時のメンバーで唯一残ったFaker 手は、2023年と2024年に4度目・5度目となるWorlds制覇を成し遂げ、新たな“T1王朝”を築き上げた。

そして迎えた11月9日。
Fakerを中心とした新生T1は、LoL史上初となる3連覇をついに達成──。
8年前、SKT T1が成し遂げられなかった悲願をついに叶え、歴史を塗り替えたのよ！

ずっと分かっていたの。このチームは必ずまた立ち上がるって。

It was bittersweet that my favorite player, Oner, didn’t receive the Finals MVP award.
His engages and objective steals were instrumental in winning the Summoner’s Cup, yet the honor went to his teammate Gumayusi.
Still, I couldn’t be happier for this roster,and I sincerely hope they all renew their contracts for another run.
大好きな選手のOnerがファイナルMVPを受賞できなかったのは、正直ちょっと残念だったな。
彼の勇気ある飛び込みや神スティールは優勝に大きく貢献していたけれど、MVPの栄誉はチームメイトのGumayusiに渡ったの。
それでも、このロスター（メンバー構成）は本当に最高だった。
どうか全員が契約を更新して、もう一度このメンバーで挑んでほしいと心から願っている。
