Pokémon Observatory by Judes

Earlier this month, I took a short day trip to Sagamihara to visit the Pokémon Observatory.
今月のはじめに、「ポケモン展望台」を観に相模原へ遊びに行ってきました。

On the way, I couldn’t resist stopping by the Gundam-themed manhole covers.
向かう途中でガンダム柄のマンホールを見つけて、思わず寄り道しちゃいました。

Posey the Psyduck was far too big to carry around, and since I didn’t want to lug a backpack, I brought along a keychain version of him instead!
ポージーって名前のウチのコダックのぬいぐるみは大きすぎて持ち歩けないし、リュックを背負うのも気が進まなかったので、今回はキーホルダー版のポージーを連れていくことにしたの！

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by anything space-related. So when I saw an advertisement for the Pokémon Observatory, I knew I had to go. The exhibit was fairly short, but it was incredibly engaging. I loved seeing families exploring together and discovering just how fun it can be to connect the imaginative world of Pokémon with real space facts.
子どものころから、宇宙に関することなら何でも大好きだった私。
だから「ポケモン展望台」の広告を見た瞬間、「これは行かなきゃ！」と心が決まったの。
展示自体はそれほど長くなかったけれど、内容がとても興味深くて、気づいたら夢中になっていたわ。
家族連れが一緒に見てまわって、ポケモンの世界と本物の宇宙の知識がリンクする楽しさをみんなで発見している様子を見るのも、すごくほっこりしちゃった！

The Pokémon Observatory will be running at the Sagamihara City Museum until January 12, 2026.
If you’re into space, astronomy, or simply love Pokémon, it’s definitely worth the visit.
