Summer is upon us, & the temperature hits the thirties every day. In my
hometown, Auckland New Zealand, thirty degrees is a heatwave but in Tokyo
it’s normal. The best way to escape the heat is to hit the beach or go
traveling. Is anybody going overseas for their summer vacation?

I will be spending two days in Izu, cooling down at the beach &
enjoying hot springs & Japanese-style hospitality at the ryokan.
I love hot springs! The first time I went to a hot spring in Japan
I was very surprised that nobody wears swimsuits.
We have hot springs in New Zealand but you wear swimsuits.
Now, I’m used to Japanese-style hot springs so no swimsuit is no problem 🙂
