皆さんが新年のお祝いをしながらゆっくりされたのであれば嬉しいです。
今年は福袋を買いに行きましたか？福袋に大当たりの商品が入っていたことを願っています。
Unfortunately, this Japanese New Year custom is not common in the West but on Youtube, there is a popular trend of buying something called a “mystery box” I wanted to share with you.
残念なことに、西洋では日本のお正月の習慣は一般的ではないのですが、
YouTubeでは『ミステリーボックス』と呼ばれる物を買うことが人気なので、これについてお話したいと思います。
It’s like a lucky bag but the items in mystery boxes are not from a store or a brand.
It is from an ordinary person selling it on Amazon or eBay.
The cost of a mystery box can be very cheap or very expensive but everything inside is a secret.
それは福袋のような物ですが、ミステリーボックスの中身はお店やブランドの商品ではないのです。
Amazonやe-Bayで一般の人から買います。
金額はとても安価な物から高価な物までありますが、すべて中身は分かりません。
Many people upload videos of themselves opening their mystery box to see how lucky their box is but most boxes are full of old things and even broken items and rubbish!
どんな素敵なアイテムが入っているのか、多くの人が箱を開けるところをビデオに撮ってアップロードしますが、その中身のほとんどは古い物だったり、壊れている物、ゴミでいっぱいです！
It feels like a con but it’s like a funny prank so people are not too mad about what is inside these strange boxes.
These videos are a lot of fun to watch too!
騙されたような気分ですが、面白いいたずらみたいなものなので、箱の中身が変でもみんな怒ったりしません。
それらのビデオを観ることもとても楽しいです！
Just remember, no matter how unlucky your lucky bag is this year at least there is no rubbish inside!
これだけは覚えておいて、今年のあなたの福袋がどんなに良くなくても少なくともゴミは入っていません！
