In my opinion, fall is the best season in Japan.
The food is fantastic, and the autumn colors are just beautiful!
日本の秋はベストシーズンだと思うわ。
食べ物は美味しいし、紅葉はとっても美しいもの！
One of my favorite sightseeing spots in Japan is Yamadera, in Yamagata.
As you can guess from the name, Yamadera is a collection of temples on and around a mountain.
There are lots and lots of steps to climb (over 1,000)!
山形にある山寺は、私が大好きな観光地の一つです。
名前からもわかるように、山寺は山の上や周りに点在する寺院の集まりです。
ものすごくたくさんの階段を登る必要があります（1,000段以上）！
But, there’s no need to visit all the temples at one time.
Godaido Hall is a wooden platform with an amazing view in any season, but especially in autumn.
でも、すべての寺院を一度で見なくても大丈夫です。
（立石寺）五大堂は木製のお堂で、どの季節に行っても素晴らしい景色が楽しめますが、特に秋は素晴らしいです。
The Semizuka mound is famous for inspiring Basho to write his haiku about the cicadas’ cries.
It’s not far from Yamagata City, so I recommend visiting Yamadera if you are in the Tohoku area!
せみ塚は芭蕉が蝉の鳴き声に関する俳句（閑さや岩にしみ入る蝉の声）を詠んだことで有名です。
山形市からも遠くないので、東北地方に行く際は山寺に行ってみてくださいね！
