work＋throughから意味を理解する
work は「力を使って取り組む」、through は「中を通って反対側へ抜ける」という感覚です。二つが合わさると、課題の中に入り、途中の段階をたどって終点まで進むイメージになります。
語順：work throughは分離できない
このworkは自動詞で、throughの後ろに処理する対象を置きます。
- work through + 名詞：work through the details
- work through + 代名詞：work through it / work through them
- work your way through + 名詞：work your way through a long report
work through は分離不可能です。代名詞でも work through it とし、work it through とは通常言いません。
ただし、他動詞の work something through が「考えや手順を最後まで練り上げる」という意味で使われる場合はあります。学習者はまず、頻度が高く形も安定している work through something を基本として覚えるのが安全です。

work through the night は「夜通し働く」です。このthroughは、夜という時間帯の初めから終わりまで継続することを表します。
We worked through the night to finish the proposal.
提案書を完成させるため、私たちは夜通し働きました。
これは「the nightを処理する」という意味ではありません。throughの後ろが時間なら、「その時間帯を通してずっと」という読み方になります。
