Hi, I would like to introduce myself to everyone. My name is John and
although originally from Manchester, England I now live in Tokyo.
みんなに自己紹介するね！
僕はジョン、今は東京にいるけど、イギリスのマンチェスター出身なんだ。
Before Tokyo, I have lived here and there (あちこち）, in China, Hong Kong and
several places in Japan.
東京に来る前は、あちこちに住んでたんだよ。中国、香港、それに日本のいろんな所にね！
But I definitely like Tokyo the best.
It is the most exciting city I have ever lived in, and has such amazing variety.
I am now “SETTLED” here.
でも、東京って最高！！！今まで住んでたところより、凄く興奮するし、
信じられないほど、色々あるよね。今は、ここに落ち着いてるよ。
One Point Trivia
“settled” means “定住する”. Why does it mean this? Well, the real
meaning of “settle” is “落ち着く”. So it means “calm”, “not moving”,
therefore in this case “定住する – stay in one place”.
では、ここで雑学（トリビア）を。
「SETTLED」は「定住する」だよね。どうして、この意味になるんだろうね？
えー、本当の意味は「落ち着く」だけど、それは「CALM」、「NOT MOVING」って事。
従って、この場合、「SETTLED」＝「Stay in one place」っていう事だね。
