Hi! I’m new to b, and I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself.
ハイ！みなさん。bに新しく入りましたエリンです。
I’m from Boston, Massachusetts originally.
Probably you know Boston if you’re a baseball fan (remember Matsuzaka Daisuke?),
and if you are familiar with some of America’s most famous colleges and universities.
ボストン出身なんだけど、マサセッチュー生まれよ。
もし野球ファンならたぶんボストンは知ってると思うわ、だって松坂大輔がいるからね！
あと、アメリカの有名大学がいくつかある場所よ！
I liked it so much that I stayed there after I graduated art school and went to work for an international travel company based in Boston, with headquarters in the UK. It was my dream to travel round the world (and see as much great art) as possible after college, this job was the perfect ticket to see the world – and I did! (14 countries, and counting).

I worked for almost 10 years in the travel business in a variety of different areas – from sales to management – and even assisting guides. I had some really rewarding experiences abroad, and was always thinking about living in another country…

外国ではいくつか素敵な体験もしたわ！それにいつも海外での生活を考えていたの。
Teaching was another thing I always wanted to try – so I took an English teacher’s training course
and loved it!
It was such fun getting to know the students and watching their progress.
教育は前からやりたい仕事だったので、英語の先生になるためにトレーニングコースを受けました。そしたらとっても良かったわ！
生徒を知りながら、彼らの成長をみるのが素敵だ！と思ったの。
So how did I end up in Japan?
I got a job at a university in Western Japan and I’ve been enjoying learning about
this fascinating place for almost 3 years now.

These days, I’m not only a teacher – but a student too. In my free time, I’m doing my best to study your language – and of course, enjoying all the fun things Tokyo has to offer.
最近では、講師だけでなく、生徒でもあるのよ。
暇な時は日本語を勉強しながら、東京でたくさんの事を満喫しています！
