Hi!
This is my first blog entry, so let me start by telling you all about
myself.
I was born in Alaska, but because of my father’s work we moved
often when I was growing up.
By the time I finished high school, I had
attended 10 or 11 different schools, I think. Currently, my family lives inFlorida.
皆さん、こんにちは。
初めてのブログなので、まずは私自身についてお話し
させてください。
私はアラスカで生まれましたが、父の仕事の関係で、よく
引越しをしました。
高校を卒業するまでに、１０～１１の違う学校に通ったと思います。
今は、家族はフロリダに住んでいます。
Before I moved abroad, I was living in North Carolina.
I lived there off
and on over a three year period, and was able to travel throughout a lot of the state.
In the east is the famous Outer Banks area where the Wright
brothers’ had their first flight.
There are beautiful lighthouses and a
peaceful seaside vibe.
And in the west are the Blue Ridge mountains, which
are absolutely beautiful in the fall.
外国に移る前は、ノースカロライナに住んでいました。
3年以上そこで暮らして、
色々なところに旅行に行くことが出来ました。
ライト兄弟が最初にフライトした東のアウターバンクスでは、美しい灯台や平和な海辺の景色があります。
また西のアパラチア山脈では、特に秋は綺麗です。
After North Carolina, I lived in Harbin, China for 7 months.
Harbin is
famous for both its Ice and Snow Festival and the Russian architecture.
I
didn’t speak any Chinese, so it was a challenging, but interesting place to
live.
ノースカロライナの後は中国のハルビンに７ヶ月住んでいました。
ハルビンは
氷と雪のフェスティバルとロシア建築が有名です。
中国語は話さなかったので、
少し大変でしたが、住むのには面白い場所でした。
I’ve been in Japan for about a year now, and I’m really enjoying it.
I love
the people, the culture and the transportation system.
I love books, so
learning about Japanese literary history has been really exciting.
I hope
someday my Japanese is good enough that I can read them!
I also recently
started learning about Japanese photographers as well, and I love their
photographs.
日本に来て一年位経ち、楽しく過ごしています。
人や文化、交通システムが特に好きです。
本が好きなので、日本の文学史を勉強するのがとても楽しいです。
いつか日本語で本が読めるくらい日本語が上手になると良いなぁと思います。
また最近日本の写真家についても調べ始めました。彼らの写真が大好きなのです。
Living in Japan has been a lot of fun, and I’ve seen a lot of cool places
so far.
