ファッション：東京のファッションはロンドンと比べて、面白くて凄く大胆ね。
うそだと思ったら渋谷や原宿に行ってみてよ！
みんないろんな服を着てるわ、奇抜なものから素敵なものまで！
それに比べたらイギリス人はおとなしいものよ・・・
2:Phone charms. Everyone seems to like phone charms attached to theircellphone
– i never saw this until i came to Japan. At first i thought i would never attach things to my phone. Now i have several.

携帯ストラップ：みんな携帯ストラップを着けてるよね。
日本に来るまで、見たことなかったわ。最初はそんなの着けないって思ったけど
今ではいっぱい持ってるわ！
3:Small dogs. People in Tokyo love their small dogs – they treat them like children!
I am still amazed when i go into stores that sell clothes,accessories,
and even baby-strollers designed for dogs. This would be rather strange in England!
I can just imagine the strange looks i would get
if i took my dog for a walk in England and he was wearing clothes…

小型犬：東京の人は小型犬大好きね。
子供のように世話してるものね！
今でもまだ信じられないけど、お店に入ると、犬用の洋服や、アクセサリーに
ベビーカーまで売ってるわ！！
それって、もしイギリスだったらもっと奇妙かもしれない。
私がイギリスで犬に洋服を着せて散歩に出かけたら絶対、変な人に思われるわねぇ。
4:Salt. Ok, i had to get a friend to explain this one to me. I noticed
early on when i first moved to Tokyo that many restaurants and cafes had
small dishes of salt sitting outside the door. The more i looked around the
city, the more i noticed this strange phenomenon. A friend of mine, who
owns a restaurant in Iidabashi told me that the salt was to keep away bad
spirits from entering the restaurant! Does this work on customers too???

塩：友達に説明してもらうまでは何だかわからなかったわ。
東京に来てすぐに気づいたことがあるんだけど、レストランやカフェでは
入り口のすぐ側に塩が乗っかったお皿が置かれているのよ。
もっと気にしてみていたら、この奇妙な現象があちこちで・・・。
飯田橋にレストランを持つ友達がいるんだけど、その人が教えてくれたわ・・・
その塩はレストランに出入りする悪霊を追い払うって事。
これって、ご飯を食べに行く私達にも効果あるのかなぁ？？？
