こんにちは、みなさん
I hope 2009 is going well for all of you so far!
2009年がみなさんにとって素敵な年になりますように・・・。
You might not see me around during the month of February.
It’s because I’ll be in New York, visiting family and friends.
実は2月中は皆さんにお会いできないの。。。
ニューヨークに帰って、家族に会いに行ってきます。
It will be a cold month. Recent weather forecasts show
temperatures around -7 degrees Celsius there.
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to being back.
今はとっても寒いはずよ。最近の天気予報では気温が-7度くらいって言ってました。
でもやっぱり帰るのは楽しみ！
It’s been a year since our last trip, so it will be great to get together
with the kids’ aunties and uncles go on a variety of outings
– see the dinosaurs and blue whale at the Natural History Museum,
have dim sum and Peking duck in Chinatown, enjoy leisurely Sunday brunches,
spend an afternoon roaming around the Met,
stroll past brownstones in our oldneighborhood,
visit the polar bear at the Central Park Zoo,
play in FAO Schwarz and maybe try ice skating at Wollman Rink.
The list can go on and on.
今回は1年ぶりなんです！
だからうちの子や子ども達のいとこも一緒にあちこち出かける予定です。
自然博物館で恐竜やシロナガスクジラを見たり、中華街で飲茶や北京ダックを食べたり、
日曜日にのんびりブランチしたり、午後のひと時にメトロポリタンを散歩したり、
近所のブランストーンをブラブラしたり、セントラルパーク動物園で北極グマをみたり、
ＦＡＯシュワルツで遊んだり、たぶんウォールマンリンクでアイススケートしたり、
行きたいところだらけで、リストに書ききれないの。。。
Thinking of everything I’d like to do (and eat) makes the month seem so
short, but I’ll do my best to make the most of it!
やりたい事だらけで、時間が足りないです。。。でも頑張って楽しんできます！！！
