Well everyone , I guess it’s time for another Blog and another
installment in the life and times of James !
Where did we get to_ last time……? _I think I am right in saying
that_ I had just _got to the point_ in the story where I arrived back
in Japan August 2007.
やあ、みんな！ また僕のブログで、「Jamesの人生と数々のできごと」
シリーズの続きを書く頃だね！前回は・・っと、どこまで話したっけ？
たしか、ちょうど2007年の8月に日本に帰ってきたところまで話したよね。
Moving house _it is said_ is one of the most stressful things you can
do _in life_. Well moving house _overseas_ must add a little bit extrato that!
Prior to moving back to Japan I had visited Tokyo to take a job
interview and was of course successful in getting the job…*Great !!*
After that I had a few days to explore and go _house hunting._ I was
fortunate enough to meet a very helpful _estate agent_ (real estate
agent) who found me an _absolutely brilliant_ house to live in here in Tokyo.
引っ越しって、日々の生活のなかで一番ストレスに感じることのひとつなんだって。
そう、他の国に引っ越す時はもっとね！
僕は、日本に引っ越して来る前に一度、会社の面接を受けに東京に来たんだ。
もちろん、面接はうまく行ったよ。（やった！！）
その後、何日か「家探し」にあちこち見て回ったんだ。その時、とても親身に
なってくれる不動産屋さんに運よく出会えて、彼が東京で僕が暮らしていくのに
ぴったりな素晴らしい家を見つけてくれたんだ。
I signed some paperwork and _set off_ back to the UK thinking_ job
done_._ Little did I know_ I would then spend the next 3 months on the
phone to Japan trying to convince the credit checking agency to
actually let me rent it ! That was a challenge but being a very
determined_ person I kept going and finally they gave up saying maybe
no and said okay.
そして、僕は契約書にサインをして、イギリスにまた戻った。
「やるべきことはやったぞ。」と思いながら。
その時は、それからの３か月間、信用調査会社に実際に僕が家を借りることを許
可してもらうために、日本に電話をかけ続けることになるなんて夢にも思ってなかったんだ！
そりゃもう大変だったけど、僕は断固とした決意を持って電話をかけ続けた。
そしてついにその会社は「まだわからない」と言うのを諦め、OKを出してくれたんだ。
Anyway, they have forgiven me, although I think my children have been
_scarred for life_ as far as shopping goes. _Not the easiest of
starts_ _I must say_ but what followed next. Find out next time….
ともかく、彼らは僕を許してくれたよ。あの買い物に関して言えば、子供たちは
生活の危機におびえていたかもしれないけどね。
本当に簡単には行かなかったよ、この始まりは。でもね、その後ももっと大変だったんだ！
それはまた次の機会に話すことにするよ！！
