ひこうきと列車とガーデン – クリスチャンの上海旅行パート3

This morning was to be a panic morning.
I wanted to see more of Shanghai but I had to go to the airport just
after lunchtime.

今朝はちょっと慌しい朝になったよ。
もっと上海の街を見たかったんだけど、ランチをしたらすぐに空港に行かなくては
ならなかったんだ。

Today, the sun had returned and the temperature rose.
The weather had become tropical but I had no time to sit with an orange
juice and relax!!

今日は日差しも戻り、気温も上がってきたんだ。
でもせっかく気候が亜熱帯らしくなってきところだったのに、
座ってオレンジジュースを飲みながらリラックスする時間もなかったんだ！！

My first stop was a visit to the backstreets of The Bund, where I was in
search of a famous tea company.

今日の最初の行き場所は有名な紅茶の会社を捜し求め、
こっそりとした裏通りにある「バンド」というお店を訪れたんだ。

The tea shop, calledthe Bund Tea Company, has a long history and can
trace its origins back to the early 1900s when a famous tea company was
housed in the same building. The tea was originally exported from
Shanghai to London, however now the company serves tourists in its
historic tearooms.

その紅茶のお店は「バンドティーカンパニー」と言って、とても長い歴史があり
1900年代初めに有名な紅茶の会社と同じビルだったことからその起源をた
どることができるんだ。その紅茶は上海からロンドンに輸出していたことが始ま
りだったけど、今ではその会社は歴史的なティールームとして観光客に振舞われ
ているんだ。

After this, I went to the area of Yu Garden (Yu Yuan) the area was
heavily touristed and is located in the centre of the old city.
The gardens, established in 1559, are almost close to Shanghai's
tradititional commerce district, a great number of small streets and
lanes where vendors sell their products and food stuffs to the tourists
and local people. The streets are very lively and colorful and surround
the City God Temple.

その後は、僕はユエン公園のエリアを訪れ、そこにはたくさんの観光客がいたよ。
そこは古い街の中心に位置しているんだ。
庭園は1559年に設立され、上海の伝統的な商業地区にほぼ近いところにあって、
そこには数え切れないほどの小さな道があり、
露店商人たちがお土産や食べ物を観光客や現地の人々に売る路地も沢山あったよ。
その道はすごく活気があり鮮やかで、City God Templeのエリアに囲まれているんだ。
