As many of you know, I am very new to Tokyo having just arrived last month.
I have really enjoyed my first month here and have managed to see quite a few interesting things already.
Two weeks ago, my sister and I went to Kamakura to see the Buddha there.
It is amazing!
Last weekend, we went to Kawagichiko on a beautiful sunny day and saw Mount Fuji covered with snow, beautiful autumn trees and the sun sparkling on the lake.
皆様ご存じのように、私は先月東京にきたばかりなんです。
前々から興味を持っていたことをできるだけたくさん見るようにしたいと、先月はとても東京での生活を楽しむことができました。
2週間前には妹と一緒に鎌倉まで大仏を見に行ってきました。
それはとても驚きでした。
とても良く晴れた先週末には河口湖へ行き、太陽の反射した湖、初霜をかぶった富士山やとてもきれいな紅葉を見ることができました。
In Tokyo, I have spent time wandering around Harajuku, Akihabara, Kichijoji (where I live) and many other places.
A fun day out was my trip to Sugamo ("Grandma Harajuku"!) where my friend and I spotted lots of grannies and lots of bargains!
I have seen shrines, traditionals wedding parades and crazy outfits.
I have eaten Thanksgiving turkey with chopsticks!
I have squeezed onto so many packed trains… and I have got lost so many times!
I can't wait to see what the next month in Tokyo brings!
東京では、私が住む吉祥寺をはじめ、秋葉原や原宿などたくさんの場所で魅惑的な時間を過ごして参りました。
その中でとても楽しかったのが、友人と訪れた「おばあちゃんの原宿」として知られる巣鴨での、たくさんのご年配の方々を見かけたりバーゲンにも出くわしたことです。
私は巣鴨にある神社で日本の伝統的なウェディングパレードや見たことのない衣装を目にしました。
その他にもサンクスギビングの七面鳥をお箸で食べたり、満員電車でギュウギュウにされたりとたくさんの出来事がありました。
来月は東京で何が待っているのか、楽しみで仕方ありません。
