初音ミクのこと、ご存知かしら？
Hatsune Miku is part of VOCALOID, a singing voice synthesizer software product. Users can create their own songs and music using this software by inputting lyrics and melody. Depending on which Vocaloid you buy, the tone of voice can change.
初音ミクは「VOCALOID（ボーカロイド）」という、歌声を合成できるソフトのひとつなのよ。
このソフトでは、歌詞やメロディーを入力することで、自分だけの楽曲を作ることができるの。
購入するボーカロイドによって、声のトーンが変わるのが魅力なの。
Hatsune Miku looks like a 16 year old girl with her iconic long, flowing turquoise twintails. She is the most popular of the Vocaloids, so popular in fact that she is an actual virtual idol. She performs in live concerts with the use of animated holographic projection.
初音ミクは、長くて美しいターコイズカラーのツインテールが印象的な、16歳の女の子の姿をしているのよ。
ボーカロイドの中でも特に人気が高く、なんと“バーチャルアイドル”として実際に活動しているの。
ライブでは、アニメーションによるホログラム映像を駆使してパフォーマンスを披露するの。
What makes Hatsune Miku so unique is because she doesn’t belong to anyone, she belongs to EVERYONE. She is digital freedom! From music to fanart, she is a celebrity in the otaku community!
初音ミクがすごく特別な存在である理由は、彼女が誰のものでもなく、「みんなのもの」だからなの。
彼女は、誰でも自由に作品を作って楽しめる存在そのもの！
音楽からイラストまで幅広く親しまれ、オタクコミュニティでは多くの人に愛されている存在なのよ。
Did you know she is famous worldwide?
While she was created in Japan, she steadily rose to fame through, you guessed it, the internet!
Her parodies, fanart and memes spread through video platforms and social media, the one where she is twirling a leek is especially famous. In fact, there is a rule to not bring in real leeks during her concerts!
彼女が世界中で有名な存在だって、知ってたかしら？
日本で生まれた彼女だけど、その人気は、そう、まさにインターネットを通じて広がっていったのよ！
パロディやファンアート、ミームが動画サイトやSNSでどんどん拡散されていって、
中でもネギをくるくる回している姿はとても有名なのよ。
だからね、彼女のコンサートでは本物のネギの持ち込みは禁止されている、なんてルールまであるの！
I was able to watch her live performance, Voltage, on March 21st! It was my first Hatsune Miku concert! While I like Hatsune Miku, I’m not a devoted fan, however, I am a HUGE Pokemon fan. This concert of hers was a collaboration with Pokemon for Pokemon’s 30th anniversary! So…OF COURSE, I HAD TO watch it!
3月21日に行われた「Voltage」というライブを観ることができたの！
なんと、これが初めての初音ミクのコンサートだったわ。
私、初音ミクも好きなんだけど、実はそこまで熱狂的なファンというわけではなくて…。
でもね、ポケモンは大大大好きなの！！
このライブは、ポケモン30周年を記念したコラボだったから、
もう…これは観るしかないでしょ！って思って行ってきたのよ。

Voltage was amazing! It was super cool to see Miku-san perform. Her fans are passionate, making the concert experience enjoyable, lively and lots of fun!

ミクさんのパフォーマンスを実際に観ることができて、とても感動したわ。
熱狂的なファンのおかげで、会場は活気に満ちていて、終始大盛り上がりだったの！
The songs were a nice combination of catchy, upbeat and emotional! I cried with a few songs, haha. You could tell the creators of each song were big Pokemon fans. I could feel their love for Pokemon through their music. It was a wonderful experience and I’m glad that this was my first Hatsune Miku concert.
楽曲は、キャッチーでアップテンポなものから、心に響くエモーショナルなものまでバランスよくて、とても素敵だったの！
思わず泣いてしまった曲もいくつかあったくらい（笑）
どの楽曲からも、作り手の方々がポケモンを本当に好きなんだなっていうのが伝わってきて、その愛情を音楽を通してしっかり感じることができたのよ。
本当に素晴らしい体験で、これが初めての初音ミクのコンサートでよかったと心から思ったわ。
