こんにちは、bの皆さん！
Summer is here, and I’m doing my very best to enjoy my first full summer in
Japan and the greater Pacific region. Last week, my husband and I went to
Guam to celebrate the 4th of July (Independence Day for the United States
of America) and to enjoy our summer vacation. Guam was fun, but I was
surprised that everything was in Japanese! I guess I expected it to be
more…American. 🙂 I couldn’t find a single brochure in English! I did
the best I could, though, and I even got to practice some of my Japanese.
夏はすぐそこね！私は初めての日本と、もっと大きな太平洋地域での盛夏を
楽しむためにベストを尽くしているわ。
先週、夫と私は7月4日（アメリカ合衆国の独立記念日よ）をお祝いするために
グアムに行ってきて、夏休みを楽しんできたのよ。
グアムは面白かった！でも日本語ばっかりで驚いたわ。
もっとアメリカ人が多いと思っていたんだもの。
私は英語のパンフレットをひとつも見つけることが出来なかったの！
ベストを尽くしたんだけど‥。私は日本語をもっと練習しなくちゃ。
While I was in Guam, I mostly swam, ate, and danced. I also went
snorkeling one day. Our hotel had a great pool, a good karaoke area
(I LOVE karaoke!), and a great DJ each night. So, my husband and I swam and
ate all day, then sang and danced each night until we were exhausted.
It was great.
グアムにいる間、私はほとんど泳いで、食べて、踊っていたの。
スノーケリングにも一日行ったわ。
私たちが泊まったホテルには素敵なプールやカラオケ（カラオケ大好き！）、
素晴しいDJが毎晩いたのよ。
夫と私は一日中、泳いで食べていたの。そして疲れきるまで毎晩歌って踊っていたわ。
とっても楽しかった！
Now, I am excited that my younger cousin is coming to visit me from the
United States. She will stay with me for 2 weeks.
Right now, what a teenager would like to do in Japan. So, if you have
any ideas, please let me know!
今、私の年下の従妹がアメリカから来ているからウキウキしているわ。
彼女は2週間、私のところに滞在する予定よ。
今はティーンエイジャーが日本で何をしたいのかをずっと考えているの。
何か良いアイデアがあったら教えてね！
