Are you going away to somewhere exotic for vacation? Or are you having to stay in Tokyo for business? Or, go on business trips abroad? If so, then these business idioms are for you.
夏休みにはどこかエキゾチックなところに行ったりする？もしくは仕事で東京にいるのかしら？

Face value
The official monetary worth or understanding of something.
"Although theface valueof the painting was very low it sold at the auction for a lot of money.
額面価格
正式な金銭上の価値、または物事に対する理解
例) その絵の額面価値は非常に低かったが、オークションでは高額で売れた。
Finger in the pie
To be involved in what is happening or to be receiving money for something
"The new manager has hisfinger in the piein all aspects of our company's business".
首をつっこむ、干渉する
何かの出来事に関わる/巻き込まれる、または何かのためにお金を受け取る
例) 新しいマネージャーはわたし達の会社のビジネスの全ての点に干渉する。
Get off the ground
To try to launch a new product, service or business.
"We were unable togetthe new productoff the groundand will have to wait until next year"
軌道に乗る・乗せる
新しいプロジェクト、サービスやビジネスなどを発足しようとすること
例) わたしたちはその新しい商品を軌道に乗せることができず、来年まで待たなければならないだろう。
In the red(Negative)
Meaning that something is losing money or is unprofitable.
"The company began to gointo the redwhen the price of oil began to rise rapidly".
赤字で
金銭を失うまたは、利益が出ないこと
例) 石油の価格が急速に上昇すると、その会社は赤字になり始めた。
In the black (Positive)
Meaning that something is successful or is making money
"The new company has beenin the blackfor over a year now".
黒字で
成功している、収益を増やす
例)その新しい会社は1年以上も黒字が続いている。
