「本社に従属する組織」「法律に従属する」「特定のシステムに従属する」。日本語の「従属する」は、単に命令に従うのではなく、別の組織・権限・仕組みの下に置かれることを表します。
組織上の下位なら be subordinate to、規則や権限のもとに置かれるなら be subject to、何かに頼って成り立つなら depend on が自然です。

be subordinate to は、ある人・部署・組織が別のものより下位に置かれていることを表す、直訳に近い表現です。

「服従する」は、人が命令や権力に従う行為・状態に焦点があります。一方、「従属する」は組織、制度、仕組みの構造上の位置関係を表しやすい言葉です。「服従する」の英語表現と比べると違いが明確になります。
