歯科医院の受付・診療英語｜予約・問診・痛み・治療説明・診療中のフレーズ

歯科医院で外国人患者に対応するときは、予約や受付だけでなく、痛みの確認、検査・治療説明、診療中の短い声かけまで英語が必要になります。難しい専門用語を並べるより、一つずつ質問し、次に何をするかを短く伝え、理解を確認することが大切です。

歯科医院の英語は「診療の流れ」で覚えよう

予約→受付・問診→痛みの確認→検査・治療説明→診療中の声かけ→会計・次回予約の順に、場面ごとの定番表現を準備すると対応しやすくなります。

電話・窓口で予約を受ける英語

• How can I help you?
  どうされましたか？
• Would you like to make an appointment?
  ご予約をご希望ですか？
• Is this your first visit?
  初めてのご来院ですか？
• What seems to be the problem?
  どのような症状ですか？
• We have an opening at three p.m.
  午後3時に空きがあります。
• Could I have your name and phone number?
  お名前と電話番号を伺えますか？

予約を表す語の違いは「reservation・appointment・bookingの違い」で解説しています。歯科の予約には通常 appointment を使います。

受付・初診問診で使う英語

• Do you have an appointment?
  ご予約はありますか？
• Please fill out this form.
  こちらの用紙にご記入ください。
• Do you have your ID and insurance card?
  身分証明書と保険証はお持ちですか？
• Are you taking any medicine?
  服用中の薬はありますか？
• Do you have any allergies?
  アレルギーはありますか？
• Please have a seat. We’ll call your name.
  お掛けになってお待ちください。お名前をお呼びします。

歯の痛み・症状を確認する

• Where does it hurt?
  どこが痛みますか？
• When did the pain start?
  痛みはいつ始まりましたか？
• Is the pain constant, or does it come and go?
  ずっと痛みますか、それとも痛くなったり治まったりしますか？
• Does it hurt when you bite?
  噛むと痛みますか？
• Is it sensitive to hot or cold?
  熱いものや冷たいものがしみますか？
• On a scale of one to ten, how bad is the pain?
  1から10で、痛みはどの程度ですか？

初心者なら Does it hurt here?（ここが痛みますか？）と場所を示して確認しても大丈夫です。痛み方の表現は「「痛い」を英語で伝える表現」も参考にしてください。

レントゲン・検査を案内する

• I’m going to examine your teeth.
  歯の状態を確認します。
• We need to take an X-ray.
  レントゲンを撮る必要があります。
• Please remove any metal objects.
  金属類を外してください。
• Please bite down on this.
  こちらを噛んでください。
• Please stay still for a moment.
  少しの間、動かないでください。

診断結果・治療内容を説明する

• You have a cavity in this tooth.
  この歯に虫歯があります。
• Your gums are inflamed.
  歯ぐきに炎症があります。
• This tooth needs a filling.
  この歯は詰め物の治療が必要です。
• I’ll explain the treatment options.
  治療方法の選択肢をご説明します。
• The treatment will take about thirty minutes.
  治療には30分ほどかかります。
• You may need two or three visits.
  2～3回の通院が必要になる場合があります。

治療判断やリスク説明は、患者の状態と医院の手順に従って行います。英語だけで十分な理解確認が難しい場合は、通訳や翻訳資料の利用を検討しましょう。

麻酔・処置前に確認する英語

• I’m going to numb the area.
  この部分に麻酔をします。
• You may feel a little pressure.
  少し圧迫感があるかもしれません。
• Have you ever had a reaction to local anesthetic?
  局所麻酔で反応が出たことはありますか？
• Do you have any questions before we begin?
  始める前に質問はありますか？

診療中の短い声かけ

• Please open your mouth.
  口を開けてください。
• Please open a little wider.
  もう少し大きく開けてください。
• Please close your mouth slowly.
  ゆっくり口を閉じてください。
• Please bite down gently.
  軽く噛んでください。
• Please rinse your mouth.
  口をゆすいでください。
• Raise your hand if you feel pain.
  痛みを感じたら手を挙げてください。
• Are you okay?
  大丈夫ですか？

Open. や Bite. だけでも意味は伝わりますが、Please をつけると柔らかくなります。

クリーニング・歯磨き指導の英語

• I’m going to clean your teeth.
  歯のクリーニングをします。
• Your gums may bleed a little.
  歯ぐきから少し出血する場合があります。
• Please brush along the gum line.
  歯と歯ぐきの境目を磨いてください。
• Please floss once a day.
  1日1回フロスを使ってください。
• Let me show you how.
  やり方をお見せします。

治療後の注意を伝える

• Please do not eat until the numbness wears off.
  麻酔が切れるまで食事をしないでください。
• Avoid hot food and drinks today.
  今日は熱い飲食物を避けてください。
• You may have some discomfort after the treatment.
  治療後に多少の不快感が出ることがあります。
• Please contact us if the pain gets worse.
  痛みが強くなったらご連絡ください。

会計・次回予約で使う英語

• Your total is 8,000 yen.
  合計8,000円です。
• How would you like to pay?
  お支払い方法はどうなさいますか？
• Would you like to schedule your next appointment?
  次回の予約をお取りしますか？
• Please come back in two weeks.
  2週間後にお越しください。
• Does Tuesday afternoon work for you?
  火曜日の午後はいかがですか？

聞き取れないときの初心者向け表現

• Could you say that again slowly?
  もう一度ゆっくり言っていただけますか？
• Do you mean the upper right tooth?
  右上の歯ということですか？
• Could you point to the tooth?
  その歯を指していただけますか？
• Could you type it on your phone?
  スマートフォンに入力していただけますか？
• One moment, please. I’ll get another staff member.
  少々お待ちください。別のスタッフを呼びます。

実践会話1：予約と症状確認

Staff: Thank you for calling. How can I help you?
Patient: I have a bad toothache.
Staff: When did the pain start?
