「合意する」は英語で？agree・agreementの違いとビジネス例文

「その意見に賛成です」「条件について合意しました」「来週から始めることに同意しました」。日本語では似ていますが、英語では agreeの後ろに何を置くかによって前置詞や形が変わります。

「合意する」は英語でagree

agree は「賛成する」「意見が一致する」「合意する」を表す動詞です。何に合意するのかによって、後ろの形を使い分けます。

We agreed on the final price.
私たちは最終価格について合意しました。

Both sides agreed to the new terms.
双方が新しい条件に同意しました。

They agreed to extend the deadline.
彼らは期限を延長することに同意しました。

agreeの4つの型を使い分けよう

agree with 人・意見：人や意見に賛成する

agree with は、人の考えや発言に「私もそう思います」と賛成するときに使います。

• I agree with you.
  あなたに賛成です。
• I agree with your point about the schedule.
  日程についてのご意見に賛成です。
• I completely agree with that approach.
  その進め方に全面的に賛成です。

単に I agree. と言っても自然です。会議で少しやわらかく返すなら、I think you’re right. や That makes sense. も使えます。

agree on 内容：話し合って内容を決める

agree on は、複数の人が話し合い、日付・価格・計画などについて共通の結論に達したときに使います。

• We agreed on a delivery date.
  納品日について合意しました。
• Have we agreed on the final budget?
  最終予算について合意できていますか。
• We still need to agree on who will lead the project.
  誰がプロジェクトを率いるか、まだ決める必要があります。

agree to 提案・条件：提示されたものを受け入れる

agree to + 名詞 は、相手から提示された提案・条件・要求などを受け入れる表現です。

• We agreed to the revised terms.
  改定された条件に同意しました。
• The client agreed to our proposal.
  顧客は当社の提案に同意しました。
• We cannot agree to that condition at this stage.
  現段階では、その条件には同意できません。

agree to do：〜することに同意する

具体的な行動について合意するときは、agree to + 動詞の原形 を使います。

• We agreed to send the report by Friday.
  金曜日までに報告書を送ることで合意しました。
• They agreed to reduce the price by five percent.
  彼らは価格を5％下げることに同意しました。
• Both teams agreed to meet again next week.
  両チームは来週再度会うことに合意しました。

agreementは「合意・合意内容・契約」

agreement は agree の名詞形です。話し合いによる「合意」だけでなく、合意事項をまとめた「協定・契約」を表すこともあります。

• We have an agreement.
  合意が成立しています。
• We reached an agreement.
  合意に達しました。
• We entered into an agreement with the supplier.
  仕入先と契約を締結しました。

reach an agreementとcome to an agreement

reach an agreement と come to an agreement はどちらも「合意に達する」です。ビジネス文書やニュースでは reach がよく使われ、come to は会話でも自然です。

After several discussions, we reached an agreement on the price.
数回の話し合いを経て、価格について合意に達しました。

I’m glad we were able to come to an agreement.

会議で合意を確認する英語

相手がうなずいたからといって、すべてに合意したとは限りません。日付・金額・担当者・次の行動を言葉で確認しましょう。

• Are we all in agreement?
  皆さん、合意していますか。
• Can we agree on this approach?
  この進め方で合意できますか。
• It sounds like we’re all on the same page.
  全員の認識が一致しているようですね。
• Just to confirm, we’ve agreed on September 15.
  確認ですが、9月15日で合意しましたね。
• Let me summarize what we’ve agreed on.
  合意した内容をまとめます。

条件付きで合意する英語

全面的に同意できない場合は、「この条件なら合意できる」と伝えます。

• We can agree to that, provided that the price includes shipping.
  送料込みであれば、その条件に同意できます。
• We’re prepared to agree if the deadline is extended.
  期限が延長されるなら、合意する用意があります。
• That would be acceptable as long as there are no additional fees.
  追加料金がなければ、その条件を受け入れられます。
• We can move forward on that basis.
  その条件を前提に進められます。

一部だけ合意する英語

相手の案をすべて否定せず、合意できる点と未解決の点を分けると話し合いを前に進めやすくなります。

• We agree on the overall direction, but not on the timeline.
  全体の方向性には合意していますが、日程には合意していません。
• I agree with the main idea, but I have one concern.
  主な考えには賛成ですが、一点懸念があります。
• We’ve agreed on most points. The price is the only issue left.
  ほとんどの点で合意しました。残る問題は価格だけです。
• Let’s separate the points we agree on from those still under discussion.
  合意できた点と、まだ協議中の点を分けましょう。

合意できない・合意に至らないときの英語

• I’m afraid we can’t agree to those terms.
  申し訳ありませんが、その条件には同意できません。
• We haven’t reached an agreement yet.
  まだ合意には達していません。
• There are still a few points we need to discuss.
  まだ話し合う必要がある点がいくつかあります。
• We seem to have a different understanding of the scope.
  業務範囲について認識が異なるようです。
• Let’s revisit this after reviewing the numbers.
  数字を確認した後、改めて検討しましょう。

agreeとacceptの違い

agree は、意見が一致する・話し合って同じ結論に達すること。accept は、提示された条件や決定を受け入れることです。

I agree with the idea.
その考えに賛成です。

I accept the offer.
その申し出を受け入れます。

納得して賛成しているとは限らなくても、現実的な判断として条件を受け入れる場合は accept が合います。

合意内容を確認する会話例

A: It sounds like we’ve agreed on the price and delivery date.
価格と納期については合意できたようですね。

B: Yes. The final price is $8,000, and delivery will be completed by September 15.
はい。最終価格は8,000ドルで、9月15日までに納品完了です。

A: Great. We also agreed to make payment within 30 days, correct?
ありがとうございます。支払いは30日以内という点でも合意しましたね。

B: That’s correct. Please send us the revised purchase order.
その通りです。修正版の注文書をお送りください。

口頭での合意を確認する英文メール

what we agreed on は「私たちが合意した内容」。最後に matches your understanding と確認すれば、認識違いを丁寧に防げます。
