太陽系は英語でthe solar system
solarは「太陽の」、systemは「体系・系」。私たちが属する特定の太陽系を指すため、通常はthe solar systemといいます。

惑星名にはtheを付ける？
Mercury、Venus、Marsなどの固有名詞には、通常theを付けません。一方、太陽と月はthe Sun / the Moonが基本です。

惑星は英語でplanet
planetは「惑星」。複数形はplanetsです。太陽のように自ら光る天体はstar（恒星）、月のように惑星を回る天体はmoon / natural satellite（衛星）です。
