Independence Day is almost here.

And no, Im not talking about an
alien invasion in which Will Smith saves the world from destruction.

Im talking about the Fourth of July, the anniversary of the day in
1776 when the Americans declared themselves independent of Britain.

In
other words, it is the day the United States became an independent country.

もうすぐ独立記念日です。

と言っても、ウィル・スミスがエイリアンの
侵略から世界を救う話をしているのではありません。

1776年7月4日にアメリカが宣言したイギリスからの独立記念日のこと
を言っているのです。

言い換えれば、アメリカ合衆国が独立した
自由の国になった日なのです。

I wish I could be home for the Fourth of July.

There is a big festival in
my hometown.

Usually around this day, a rodeo and a concert is held which
is really fun.

I always enjoy watching these events with my family and
friends.

There are also a lot of food stands that sell really good food.

I　eat and drink too much on this holiday.

7月4日に地元に帰れたらいいのにと思います。

大きなフェスティバルがあるのです。

たいていこの日の前後で、とても楽しいロデオやコンサートが
催されていて、友達や家族とイベントを楽しみます。

美味しいものが売っている屋台もたくさん出ています。

この祝日には
つい食べ過ぎ、飲み過ぎてしまいます。

The best part of the Fourth of July is the fireworks.

There is a big
firework show.

Not only in my hometown, but all over the country.

You can
see firework shows probably in every American town and city on this day.

If you love fireworks, you should visit the U.S. on the Fourth of July.

It is　a lot of fun.

Everyone is very patriotic and proud to be an American on　this day.

7月4日の一番の催し物は花火です。

大きな花火ショーがあるのです。

僕の地元では
ないけれど、国中で開催されていて、アメリカのどの街でも花火が観れれます。

花火が好きなら、7月4日にアメリカを訪れるべきです。

とっても楽しいですよ。

誰もが愛国的で、アメリカ人である事を誇りに思う日なのです。
